Chef Roberto Neri comes to Oakmont of Camarillo after an extensive international career in London and Italy. During his career, he partnered with a team to open a restaurant in London called Grano, which won the prestigious Carlton Award for best new Italian restaurant in the late 1990s. Neri moved to London after culinary school in Italy, where he grew up.
“Oakmont Senior Living is a wonderful company with a reputation for its culinary program and I am thrilled to be a part of it. I look forward to designing menus that the residents will love and serving first-class food in a warm setting.” said Neri.
Opening new food establishments is not new to Neri. He joined the Four Seasons Hotel family in 2001 to open Quadrato in Canary Wharf, London. It soon was recognized by ZAGAT as one of the best restaurants in the United Kingdom in 2002. He also helped Four Seasons open restaurants in Amman, Jordan and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Neri plans to use his expertise and love of cooking at Oakmont of Camarillo to produce gourmet, made-from-scratch meals that feature seasonal, local produce.
